Maclare Group was founded by Mark Coffey over twenty-five years ago. Mark brings over forty years of experience in real estate development, architectural design, governmental approvals and construction management to his clients. Projects range from several-hundred million-dollar corporate campuses serving thousands of employees, technically sophisticated and secure corporate data centers, regional company offices, high-end tenant improvements to country clubs, multi-family residential communities and luxury homes. The cumulative value of completed projects is several billion dollars and the cumulative size of the projects is tens of millions square feet.

Prior to starting Maclare Group, Mark worked with Lincoln Property Company as a Construction Specialist from 1986 to 1991 - first managing the design, budgeting and construction of the tenant improvements of 846,000 square feet in Lincoln Property Company owned buildings in San Francisco, and then as Development Consultant to the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco for construction of its headquarters building at 600 California Street.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Mark spent five years as Senior Project Manager with Swinerton. His projects were with major Bay Area developers and businesses, many of which had very specialized and sophisticated technical needs. In addition, he formed relationships with a number of Bay Area general contractors and subcontractors.

Before joining Swinerton, Mark spent ten years with several Bay Area developers overseeing design and construction of a variety of projects in the Bay Area and throughout the West Coast, including class-A high-rise office buildings, shopping malls, garden office complexes, high-rise luxury apartments and condominiums, suburban apartment communities and luxury homes. While with the Shorenstein Company, Mark was responsible for construction management in a number of buildings in that company’s prestigious San Francisco portfolio, and he has been involved with nine signature high-rise buildings in the San Francisco financial district.

Mark received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Arizona State University, and he earned a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from the University of California at Berkeley. Mark has been licensed to practice Architecture in eight states and served as a Commissioner for the California Architects Board.
